Re: "You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling"

Not quite, but that could work, too. (I was thinking of a BB King tune.)

Yours, by the bye, seems to be "Octopus's Garden"

Try this Mancini song:

Stroll of the Infant Pachyderm.

Kiss To Build a Dream On, A - Louis Armstrong

Image (I think it looks more like Dizzy Gillespie, but at least he's playing the right instrument.)

It's Not Unusual - Tom Jones

patient: Doctor, I keep hearing "The Green, Green Grass of Home" and "What's New Pussycat"! What's wrong with me?

doctor: Sounds like you have Tom Jones Syndrome.

patient: Is that common?

doctor: It's not unusual.

Save the Last Dance For Me - The Drifters

Although, after you walk all the way from St Louis to Myrtle Beach, I doubt you'll feel much like dancing.

*psst* I found a way to add my wavekiss.

Quick Joey Small (Run Joey Run) - Kasenetz-Katz...

Kasenetz-Katz Singing Orchestral Circus. (There's never enough room on the subject line for this song title and artist name. I wonder why?)

One Year of Love - Queen

Oddly enough, sometimes this song helps me survive having lost MamaMouse. She always loved it, even though she wasn't a big fan of Queen. And knowing that I had thirty- One Year(s) of Love makes me know how much worse off I could be now, if I had been alone all that time. And to answer your question...

Peace In Our Time - Gorky Park

Backing vocals by Jon Bon Jovi. Gorky Park are (were?) a band from the Soviet Union. They got together with Bon Jovi at the Moscow Music/Peace Festival, and this song was one result. Can I see your CD collection please? :) I love all those guys to bits. :D Yes, you may see my CD collection. But you'...

I thought of this thread yesterday, when this song came up..

...on the CD I was listening to on the drive home from work. It has a line or two that just seemed to fit. The House That You Live In by Gordon Lightfoot From Summertime Dream Go first in the world, go forth with your fears. Remember a price must be paid. Be always too soon, be never too fast At the...

Lonely Bull - Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass

You played the trumpet? Another hidden talent being admitted to. :P I think I may have mentioned it in the Sandbox a time or 12. [yes] I remember as a teenager going to see Al Hirt play in the French Quarter in New Orleans. He and Pete Fountain would play together, and the street outside would be r...

Java - Al Hirt

One of the men (and, I think, one of the songs) that inspired me to learn to play the trumpet. I just wish I could play half as well as Mr Hirt.

San Francisco (Be Sure to Wear Some Flowers in Your Hair) -

...Scott McKenzie (Not enough room in the subject line.)

Written by John Phillips, of The Mamas and the Papas. Supposedly, Mr Phillips named his daughter Mackenzie in honor of his friend, Scott McKenzie.

And Mr McKenzie wore flowers in his hair when he recorded the song.

Ode to Billie Joe - Bobbie Gentry

The song that made people wonder why Billie Joe jumped off the Tallahatchee Bridge.
