Re: Hiya, jodyangel.
 :1013: I think your sweet Mama would approve of it. She knows she is the love of your life, and that no one will replace her in your heart. However, since you've shared with us how sweet she was, I think she also knows your heart is big enough for another also. :932: That's the way I feel abo...

I listen to CDs in my car, mostly.
And I tend to take them out of the racks in the (alphabetical) order that I keep them in. So that's how I listen to them: alphabetically. Currently, I've got Band On the Run by Paul McCartney and Wings. The next one would be Wingspan , also by PM&W. Then Run Devil Run , by PM... You get the idea...

We are the navvies who work upon the railway Swingin our hammers in the bright blazin sun Livin on stew and drinkin bad whiskey Bendin our old backs til the long days are done I think sometimes we, who live a bit farther south, tend to forget that the Union Pacific wasn't the only great railroad to...

Tell Me I'm Not Dreaming - Robert Palmer
"You must enter a message when posting."
But what if I don't have anything in particular to say about the song? I like it, but you can figure that out from the fact that I post the title.
(OK, I'll be good.)

People Are Strange - The Doors
covered by Echo and the Bunnymen for the Lost Boys soundtrack. Teabury gum? What is it exactly? I've never heard of it before. Oops! I misspelled it. It's "Tea berry ". When I googled it, I found it on a site called "Candy you ate as a kid". http://www.oldtimecandy.com/teaberry-g...

Deseret Pete - The Kingston Trio
An interesting song about faith: Drink all the water you can hold. Wash your face. Cool your feet. But leave the bottle full for others, Thank you kindly, Desert Pete.... I thank the Lord and I thank the pump And I thank old Desert Pete. (The only site I could find with the lyrics isn't quite accura...

Thanks, jodyangel.
 :1013: But it's OK. (As you probably guessed from the fact that I posted Ray Stevens lyrics. I just wish I could find a copy of the song to listen to, or to download to my iPod.) What got me thinking about Mr Manilow in the first place was listening to my Manilow CDs, including this song: Rea...

The title always makes me think it's a rock 'n' roll version of the Overture to Die Fledermaus. (It's not.)

There are days when everything just seems to remind me how..
...alone I am. And when I start to feel sorry for myself, a bit of Barry Manilow seems to help. I guess Ray Stevens knows that feeling: I Need Your Help, Barry Manilow My account is overdrawn, my car slid down the hill. I'm givin' up, I've got no more to give. My beagle bit the vet, and my daughter'...

Stoned Soul Picnic - The Fifth Dimension
Well, there's a reason they're called The Rolling Stones. [uhoh]You don't remember being the saxophone player and wearing those black leather pants and no shirt? Why, I remember that concert very well.
