Well he has had his run ins with the law on more than one occasion so maybe this is his personal way of getting back at them.

Re: Speaking of Veterans Day, did you know John Denver was..

...a sniper in Vietnam? Yeah, neither did he until he saw it in some gossip column/website. He never was, but the rumor persists. Just like the one that says Mr Rogers was a Navy Seal. And Lee Marvin and Bob Keeshan (Captain Kangaroo) never served together, though they were both in the service. I h...

It's good it may re-open.

It's so sad the park has been closed due to bankruptcy twice and has been standing empty for the last couple of years

Maybe it will be third time lucky for it. Here's hoping.

The Future

I knew Leonard Cohen would have to creep in somewhere down the line. :P

Try these and I;ll make them a little easier....

I looked out this morning and the sun was gone
Turned on some music to start my day
I lost myself in a familiar song
I closed my eyes and I slipped away

Try these then...

Don't think me unkind
Words are hard to find
They're only cheques I've left unsigned
From the banks of chaos in my mind

That's Rush and Time Stand Still

That was a bit more difficult than the Nazareth one. I better really get my thinking cap on for what you're going to throw out next. :P How about... I met a gin soaked bar room queen in Memphis She tried to take me upstairs for a ride She had to heave me right across her shoulder Cause I just can't ...

Re: The Seattle Grunge Scene (late 80's - early 90's)

Growing up in Vancouver, Seattle was only a 3 hour drive away. So many great bands came out of Seattle during this time period. We (my sisters BF at the time, his friends and myself) used to go down to Seattle regularly and take it all in. One of my favourite bands was Mother Love Bone Now if you n...

R.I.P. John Barry

I was very saddened to hear that John Barry passed away from a heart attack yesterday at the age of 77. He was a great composer and his award winning soundtracks for hundreds of films like Dances with Wolves and Born Free along with 11 of the memorable James Bond movies are timeless. He will be grea...

Re: TV theme songs

Heard of some of these shows. Eastenders, Morse, and Poirot are the ones I know, the other not. Most UK shows are on Public stations, or BBC Canada which is a specialty channel. Coronation Street is another, my Mom watches it religiously. There's loads more but these are ones that I can think of st...

Heartbeat

There's loads more but these are ones that I can think of straight away.

I think you may be astounded at my record collection then as I would describe it as more of an eclectic taste with a little bit of everything thrown in. :P

Good lists Gman

I like your choices and I think I can almost get a sense of the music you like. A couple of these artists you mention have already been mentioned on the site and all of them will be covered at some point (give me time). Another Canadian I like is k.d. Lang and although she's not my cup of tea really...
