Can there be such a thing?
How about Britney Spears, who sounds like a black soul singer if you didn't know better?

Underrated superstars?
Five out of four people have trouble with fractions.
I would say...
Emma Bunton who has had to tackle getting over being thought of as a Spice Girl. Her retro and bossa nova work is exceptional.
I must ask though, how can a superstar be underrated as they managed to make it to that status in the first place? So people do obviously rate them highly for one reason or another.

I'm not going to let my history pull me down and hold me back, you see.

As you know...
Emma is one of my favourites.
I guess what I meant is that someone like Britney Spears is a superstar, but is not necessarily highly regarded as an artist. She does have a hell of a good voice, though.

I liked how Peter Cetera spent twenty years with Chicago™.
Then when he decided to go solo, he won a Grammy™ as "Best New Artist".
Lord, you have filled my cup so full,
How can I fear tomorrow?

I've always like Cetera and followed his career with Chicago. I guess sometimes you're just not recognized until that solo career but Chicago certainly wasn't a group to sneeze at.PapaMouse wrote:Then when he decided to go solo, he won a Grammy™ as "Best New Artist".
Hiya Papa.
I'm not bad. I'm just drawn that way!
