In the title song of "End of the Innocence", he makes two similar, unflattering references to them:
"Lawyers dwell on small details,
Since Daddy had to fly."
"Lawyers clean up all details,
Since Daddy had to lie."
I guess those aren't too bad. But on the same album, in the song "Gimme What You Got", he says:
"You cross a lawyer with the Godfather, baby,
Make you an offer you can't understand."
And then, when the Eagles sing "Get Over It", that's Mr Henley's voice you hear singing:
"The more I think about it, old Billy was right
Let’s kill all the lawyers, kill ’em tonight."
Do ya think he's got a grudge against the profession? Or was he just giving the public what they wanted to hear?
Don Henley doesn't seem to be too fond of lawyers.

Lord, you have filled my cup so full,
How can I fear tomorrow?
How can I fear tomorrow?

Well he has had his run ins with the law on more than one occasion so maybe this is his personal way of getting back at them.PapaMouse wrote:Do ya think he's got a grudge against the profession? Or was he just giving the public what they wanted to hear?
I'm not going to let my history pull me down and hold me back, you see.
