Speaking of Veterans Day, did you know John Denver was...

Post by PapaMouse »

...a sniper in Vietnam?

Yeah, neither did he until he saw it in some gossip column/website. He never was, but the rumor persists. Just like the one that says Mr Rogers was a Navy Seal. And Lee Marvin and Bob Keeshan (Captain Kangaroo) never served together, though they were both in the service.
Lord, you have filled my cup so full,
How can I fear tomorrow?

I hadn't heard that one, but although Vietnam was always on the News over here when I was a kid, that was about as much involvement as I ever had with it.
I'm not going to let my history pull me down and hold me back, you see.

I remember reading about classic movie actors serving in World War II but hadn't read about those who served in Vietnam. Hmmm, I just can't picture him as a sniper. I keep thinking about him in "Oh God!" Wow, that's amazing to learn.
I'm not bad. I'm just drawn that way!
