All right..I'll meet you at the Feenotes corral at high noon. Make sure you bring your Loch Nessie and I'll bring Marie Laveau and her voodoo charms.

I'm sorry I didn't get back to you on the Song Association thread over on Imdb. The connecting page notice wouldn't let me back on.
I'll bet your car was fantastic. I can't believe you sold it though.

Re: LOL....
Yeah, it was great. Bought it with a blown engine, rebuilt it, and drove it for about a year. Sold it for more than I had in it. Of course, it was just a 10 year old used car then...they were a dime-a-dozen. Not any more!jodlyn wrote:I'll bet your car was fantastic. I can't believe you sold it though.

Yes...
They were a dime a dozen back then. I grew up right next to the docks on thr Mississippi river. The ships would unload the new cars right in my neighborhood. Lord, there were some great cars...Corvettes, GTOs, Mustangs. the works...I got to see them even before they went to the car showrooms. There were so many.
Now you only see those classics in car shows or in parades, and you say, "why the heck didn't I keep that car??" *Sigh* Hindsight...

Re: Yes...
Boy, that must have been cool to see all those great cars before they even hit the showroom. That was back when the new model year was a big deal and everything was kept under wraps.jodlyn wrote:They were a dime a dozen back then. I grew up right next to the docks on thr Mississippi river. Hindsight...yep. I should have kept that Charger. AND the '67 GTO, the "70 Chevelle SS396, the '66 Mustang GT, and the '70 Roadrunner. Oh, well, at least I still have my '68 Chevelle SS396 convertible, my '59 Chevrolet stepside pickup, and my wife's '77 MGB roadster. They keep me pretty busy

There would be rows and rows of Corvettes..oh not those wimpy ones you see now, but the full fledged wild ones! I loved it...
Oh you had a 66 Mustang GT??? [jealous look] I loved that car...
You have great taste in cars. Each is a masterpiece. Would you consider posting pics of them? You must be in car heaven...
I try to get to every classic car show in my area as I can. They really are gorgeous!
