Cabaret Voltaire
This is one of those groups from the 80s that I knew about, but no more than that...

The Detergents
Great answer/parody record to "Leader of the Pack"
Look for Ron Dante of the Cufflinks and the Archies fame.

Emerson. Lake & Palmer
Seeing as Keith Emerson just graced the artist association thread, let's put the band in with their wonderful rendition of "Fanfare for the Common Man"...

Re: The Four Preps

Signed to a Capital record contract while still in high school, they hit the charts with 13 different songs. Two of the original Preps passed away, but the remaining Preps continue to sing and tour.

All I can find on this ska band just now is a home video. Sorry about the quality, but here it is...

Re: The Harlots
Yes, there is a band called the Harlots.
A four-piece rock band from Winnipeg, Canada and who specialize in a blend of metal, punk-pop and melodic. This song "Alien" was featured in the low budget film, "Phil the Alien".

(The) Jive Bombers
These guys hailed from New York City. I don't know exactly why I like this little song so much. It's just...catchy! It seems to come up on my turntable on a fairly regular basis.

Re: Kiss

Classic Kiss song. This was recorded in 1979 by the American rock band, KISS. The group was characterized not only by their make-up and wild antics but also on stage fire-breathing, blood spitting, smoking guitars and big fireworks on stage. They defined the 70's sound as well as introducing 80's music to a whole new generation.
I've been watching the reality show "Gene Simmons Family Jewels!" It's a hoot and fun. One show was really funny. They hooked Gene up to a lie detector and one of the questions was "did he ever have tongue surgery!" He said no..his tongue really was that long, and the lie detector said that was a truthful answer. I don't know though..his tongue is pretty long..Lol

Liverpool Express
I adored this group in the 1970s but sadly they were fairly shortlived...

I know I've posted his band before, but I just heard this song today. It's been forever since I've heard it, and I wanted to share. It's one great song.

Pigbag
I remember this lot from the 1980s and they had a few chart songs over here. "Papa's got a Brand New Pig Bag" made it to No. 3 and here it is in the best video I could find for it...

? and the Mysterians.
(Well, how many "Q" bands are there?)
Their one big hit only made it to #37? I'd have thought it at least made it to the top 10.
