...I REALLY am not sure about this one. If I'm going to guess, I'll go with Captain Beefheart, just because of what I know about their background.

I'm going to post mine very soon. It's not that big a deal, really, and will probably run its course in due time. COMING SOON!!

It was Jefferson Airplane

I was surprised by it also, and I looked it up just to make sure.

One thing about this trivia..there are some real surprises. Personally I think it's fun to find out obscure facts about them. :)

Now I think it's time for someone else to think of some facts.

Although, it's not really that amount [jody putting on her school marm eyeglasses and preparing to lecture]
The average amount is usually 2.5 CCs.

Oh yes...You're not getting out of detention that easily young man. I need someone to clap the erasers!

Oh and by the way..all quips aside. [jody using pointer to show answer on the board]
Popular belief holds that the average male amount is 9CC's, but it depends on physical factors. Some members of the band teased about being named this, but Jonathan King claims he named the band after a dream he had.

How's this? *clapping erasers vigorously*

9CC's eh? This calls for an experiment in the name of science. Now where did I put my metric measuring spoons?

Say...looking cute in that lab coat, Jody!

Cough, cough! Whew..you do good work!

Your metric measuring spoons? Oh nooo..that won't do. We have strict safety requirments in this lab. You need a beaker designed to hold a certain amount.

Why, this old thing?? It's a bit tight from washing so many times, but I can work with it. Thank you Mr. Tmac.

Well, if that's the case...you should wash it a couple more times!

How about another trivia question?

Ummm...okay, here's an easy one. When and where did Buddy Holly give his last performance? Hint: I'm going there on the fiftieth anniversary.

Hmmm...I DO have a couple of experiments I'd like to try out.

His last performance was with the Winter Party tour in Clear Lake, Iowa.

This question goes along with your subject...

Which well-known 70's song was partially influenced by the death of Buddy Holly?

Well...okay...strictly in the interest of science! :D

To answer your question..."American Pie" by Don McLean was partially influenced by this event. I love that song.

ALSO...you failed to mention that the ACTUAL location was the Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake. I'm feeling good today, so there will be no deduction for partial answers! :D
