All of a sudden I'm 18 again, cruising in my '67 GTO, and listening to "More Than a Feeling" on my new Boston eight-track! Thanks for the flashback, Fee! Great song!

Okay...try these...

But a little gold ring you wear
on your hand makes me understand
There's another before me, you'll never be mine
I'm wasting my time

Incidentally, I was watching the classic Doris Day movie "With Six You Get Eggroll" on TCM the other night and I saw the guys who sing this in a cameo scene. It was GROOVY, but they weren't singing this particular song.
Toolin' down the highway doing 79,
I'm a twin-pipe papa and I'm feeling fine...

Had to sing that one in my head until I got to the title.

Midnight Confessions, by The Grass Roots. (It's been so long since I've seen With Six You Get Eggroll, that I don't remember The Grass Roots being in it.)

By the by, The Grass Roots were offered this song, but their manager didn't even tell them about it. He just turned it down. It was recorded by another group who had a hit with it.

You say you're gonna leave
Gonna take that big white bird
Gonna fly right out of here
Without a single word.
Don't you know you'll break my heart
When I watch you close that door?
Lord, you have filled my cup so full,
How can I fear tomorrow?

I kept humming it until I realised who sang it.

That's "Don't Pull Your Love" by Hamilton, Joe Frank and Reynolds.

Here's one I haven't heard for a long time.

One more song about moving along the highway
Can't say much of anything that's new
If I could only work this life out my way
I'd rather spend it being close to you
I'm not bad. I'm just drawn that way!

"So Far Away"?

Here's some more as I think it's right....

You know I cant stand it
Youre runnin around
You know better daddy
I cant stand it cause you put me down
I'm not going to let my history pull me down and hold me back, you see.
