I looked over the Music Documentaries thread...

...and I got to thinking "What about docu-dramas?" You know. Movies that (sort of) tell about musicians, but in a movie-type setting.

Some that come to mind:
Back Beat (about The Beatles in Hamburg)
Deadman's Curve (about Jan and Dean, and the accident that nearly killed Jan, at...)
Beyond the Sea (Kevin Spacey as Bobby Darin.)
Ray (as in Charles.)
Walk the Line (Johnny Cash was never that handsome.)

Any others?

The Glenn Miller Story

Another tragedy where so much great music was made and a wonderful artist cut down in his prime.

I know. It calls to mind the Patsy Cline story. She was finally getting things together in her career and personal life.

How are you today? Good I hope..

We miss you here!
