Very saddened to hear of the passing of this Canadian Legend. "The Hockey Song" is Canada's unofficial second national anthem everyone knows it by heart. Known as a true patriot he stayed true to his roots and all of his fans loved him for it. RIP

That's sad although I admit I don't know much about him. :(
I'm not going to let my history pull me down and hold me back, you see.

Rest in Peace, Mr. Connors! My prayers go out to family, friends and fans!
I'm not bad. I'm just drawn that way!

I'm not surprised about that. He never wanted the big spotlight of international fame. He rejected Nashville and scolded Canadian acts who went down south. He travelled the country by hitch hiking across it during the 1970's playing in dive bars and country and western saloons in every small town he came across. Really quite amazing actually, he remided me of my late Uncle who did the exact same thing when he was 16. His music was simple and homegrown just as he was and he will always be remebered for that.
