This may be a bit "out there", but let's see what we can come up with:

13 songs written by a famous singer/songwriter, made famous by someone else. For example:

1. I'm a Believer - The Monkees (written by Neil Diamond)
Lord, you have filled my cup so full,
How can I fear tomorrow?

7. You've Got a Friend - James Taylor (written by Carole King)

Ms King's version was recorded first, with Mr Taylor providing guitar work, and it was included on her Tapestry album. But Mr Taylor's version is the one people think of first.
