Bonus points?

Work Song - Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass

Post by PapaMouse »

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cV5h6h83Yf4

This video is taken from the TV special "The Beat of the Brass", and features the TJB playing in a brass instrument factory. (As a trumpet player, I find it fascinating.) I think this TV special is the one where one of the Brass described the group by saying that a group with 6 members is called a sextet. Since TJB has 7, that makes them "an over-sextet".

Yang Bu - Jim Messina and the Jesters

Post by tmac396 »

Yep, Jim Messina of "Loggins and Messina" fame was once in a surf band. Not a bad tune. I have it on an old surf compilation album, but I can't find a video link anywhere. :(
