Until I saw this video, I didn't know that Laurie London was a boy. He was 13 when he had a hit with this song (which would explain why he sounded like a woman. And with a name like Laurie, I just assumed...)

Andrew Gold was, and still is, one of my guilty pleasures and I adore his work with Wax (do you know that duo?)

By the way, I like the Chordettes' version of "Never on a Sunday" as well. You never hear it, though.

When put on an out of 10 scale, I give this one 10/10 every time, but then again with the stunning voice and musicianship of Christopher Cross and backing vocals by Michael McDonald who could ask for any more...
