No matter how you're feeling, you have to get up and dance to this one. It's one of my favorite swing songs.

Um Um Um Um Um Um - Major Lance

I love this song and have a version of it by Wayne Fontana & The Mindbenders which was released in the same year...1964. Treble bonus points if anyone can tell me what UK band was formed by two of The Mindbenders.

I've never heard it by the Mindbenders, but I'll bet it's good.

"Whenever You Want My Love" - The Real Thing

Post by fiona »

Oh the memories of those days/nights at the local Football Club. 8) This group was big over here in the 1970s and from what I remember in those hazy old, sometimes best forgotten, days, they were a nice bunch of guys who were friends with a DJ I knew at the time.

Too good and I may even give you quadruple points for getting that one as it was pretty obscure. :D Would I be pushing it if I asked if you knew what they did next. :P

You're welcome for Major Lance and I think I may be able to help with Wayne Fontana. 8)

What they did next? Uhmmm...had a couple of beers? :17418: I don't know. I remember that they did some solo work, but other than that I don't know. I'll bet YOU can enlighten me, though! :D

BTW...Thanks for the Mindbenders tunes! Too cool! :5170:

Here they are in the 1990s performing what was a huge hit for them in 1968. They sound just as good. :17091:

Well they put together the group Hotlegs who had a big hit here in 1970 with "Neanderthal Man". From there they became 10cc. 8)

I thought you might like the Mindbenders version. :D

Chattanooga Choo Choo - Glenn Miller & His Orchestra

This was the first song to be awarded a gold record. The record company thought that the fact of it's being the first record to sell 1,000,000 copies in 15 years deserved some sort of award. So they came up with a solid gold copy of the record (Which would actually play, if you put it on a record player.)

I remember having a album by Jack Jones. I thought he was really cute. I'm not sure what happened to that album. I wish now I still had it.
