She is a harpist born Maria Adamo who performed with the Concerto Soloists Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia on their 1987 holiday recording Gloria! Gloria! which also featured the soprano Benita Valente and The Philadelphia Singers.
Her husband is the cellist Peter Kucirko who was the Executive Director of the Lexington Philharmonic in Kentucky from 1999 until his retirement in 2010. Together they established the Horsetails program with the proceeds going towards the Lexington Philharmonic Orchestra’s Partners in Education which brings musical education to children in high-risk areas. They also spend time raising miniature horses.
