Lindemann, Jens

He is a trumpet player born in Germany who studied at the McGill University in Montreal and took further musical studies at the Juilliard School in New York.  After his musical education he played as a soloist in many competitions and was awarded many prizes.

In 1996 after Fred Mills had left Canadian Brass he became his replacement.  He stayed with them until May 2001 to concentrate on his solo career and has played with many orchestras including the London, New York, Hamburg and Berlin Philharmonics and at venues that include the Great Wall of China.

He became an official trumpeter for N.H.L. Stanley Cup finals and has won Grammy and Juno awards for his recordings.  He has taught at the Domain Forget Academy for the Arts in Quebecand is currently Professor of Trumpet at UCLA.
