MacLeod, Brian (1953-25th April 1992)

He was a guitarist born in Canada and a member of the band Edward Bear from 1973 to 1974.

After leaving the band he went on to play for Chilliwack where he earned the nickname Brian “Too Loud” McLeod and from there he went on to form The Headpins.  Their first gig was to back up Richie Blackmore’s Rainbow and their initial album Turn It Loud went double platinum.  He was named “Producer of the Year” at the Juno awards in 1983.

He passed away in Vancouver in 1992 , aged 39, from cancer.

Here he is with Chilliwack performing “My Girl”.  He is the one in the red T-shirt…
