He is a viola player who has performed as a member of the Los Angeles Opera Company and the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra.
Throughout his career he has been an active studio musician and has recorded with many artists and composers that include Vanessa Carlton, Randy Edelman, James Horner, Lalo Schifrin and John Tesh.
He has also performed on countless soundtracks with just a few including Collateral Damage, Dragonfly, Hancock, Legend of Zorro, Rush Hour 2 and The Salton Sea.
Outside of music, Dmitri and his musician wife Margaret Edmonson, who is a cellist with the Long Beach Symphony Orchestra, were given a Golden Poppy Award by Altadena Heritage for their beautiful garden.
