Heitmann, John

He is a flautist who has been performing in his musical career since the late 1960s/early 1970s.

As early as 1970 and 1971 he was performing recitals of several works by Morton Feldman and a piece by Harry Stuart Somers and Toru Takemitsu at the Baird Recital Hall at Buffalo University.

In 1979 and again in 1982 he was performing as a member of the Long Beach Symphony Players in recitals held by the South Bay Chamber Music Society at the Recital Hall of the Los AngelesHarbor College.

Also from the late 1970s he worked as a successful studio musician, performing for many successful artists.  A few of the albums he has performed on include That’s What Friends Are For by Johnny Mathis and Deniece Williams, Les McCann The Man by Les McCann, Prepared Piano: The First Four Decades published by the Music Heritage Society and Gonna Take a Miracle: The Best Of by Deniece Williams.
