What are you listening to?

Post by jodlyn » Tue Jan 17, 2012 1:23 am

It's a popular Imdb thread which will be fun here.

One of my favorite Adele songs:

Rolling In the Deep

Right now, nothing.

Last night, before I went to work, I was hearing (not really listening to my roommate and a few of his guests in the next room talking about how awful it was going to be when they turn 30 (guest) or 35 (roommate) this year. I chuckled to myself.

After I got home from work, I listened to something I found on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pQ9kIeiB ... TxfDlwAAAA I've long been a fan of Scott Joplin, but hearing this one on the guitar intrigues me. (I want it played at my funeral. Either on the guitar, or on the piano.)
Lord, you have filled my cup so full,
How can I fear tomorrow?

I've always loved the sound of soulful guitar playing. Thanks for posting it! :)

Oh boy, those roommates of yours are still spring chickens! They have no clue what it's like and they're gonna WISH they were like us when they get older!...LOL!

So how's things going for my SbBf! :1026:

Accept: Restless and Wild, Metal Heart

Post by Gman316 » Wed Feb 01, 2012 4:07 am

Accept is a German Heavy Metal band that in my opinion is one of the best metal bands that almost no one has heard of, especially over here in Canada and USA. Very popular in Europe. especially in their native Germany. I have been a big fan of theirs since the early 1980's.

For My Lady.

Post by PapaMouse » Fri Feb 24, 2012 2:17 pm

It's only playing in my head, but I'll take that. I've been hearing it playing since I listened to my Seventh Sojourn CD about a week ago. I've had worse earworms*. And few better. What can I say? I'm a Moody Blues fan!

*An earworm is a song (or anything else) that gets stuck in your head, and plays over and over on the CD player (tape player, record player,...) there.

Vacation by The Go-Go's

Post by jodlyn » Thu May 10, 2012 12:18 am

I haven't heard this band in a while. I really liked them. Maybe I'll rediscover them again. Although, I can't believe Belinda's hair. Did we really wear our hair like that in the 80's????...LOL!

I wish I were on vacation some where it was cool.

One and Only....Adele

You've been on my mind
I grow fonder every day,
Lose myself in time
Just thinking of your face
God only knows
Why it's taken me so long
To let my doubts go
You're the only one that I want

I don't know why I'm scared, I've been here before
Every feeling, every word, I've imagined it all,
You never know if you never try
To forgive your past and simply be mine

I dare you to let me be your, your one and only
Promise I'm worthy to hold in your arms
So come on and give me a chance
To prove that I'm the one who can
Walk that mile until the end starts

If I've been on your mind
You hang on every word I say
Lose yourself in time at the mention of my name
Will I ever know how it feels to hold you close?
And have you tell me whichever road I choose you'll go

I don't know why I'm scared 'cause I've been here before
Every feeling, every word, I've imagined it all,
You'll never know if you never try
To forgive your past and simply be mine

I dare you to let me be your, your one and only
I promise I'm worthy to hold in your arms
So come on and give me a chance
To prove that I'm the one who can
Walk that mile until the end starts

I know it ain't easy
Giving up your heart
I know it ain't easy
Giving up your heart

(Nobody's perfect, trust me I've learned it)
I know it ain't easy, giving up your heart
(Nobody's perfect, trust me I've learned it)
I know it ain't easy, giving up your heart

I know it ain't easy
Giving up your heart
I know it ain't easy
Giving up your heart

So I dare you to let me be your, your one and only
I promise I'm worthy to hold in your arms
So come on and give me a chance
To prove that I'm the one who can
Walk that mile until the end starts
Come on and give me a chance
To prove that I'm the one who can
Walk that mile until the end starts.
