Oboist from Bern, Switzerland, who studied in Basel with Andre Lardrot, Freiburg with Heinz Holliger, and Paris with Maurice Bourgue.
Groups with whom he has worked include the Amsterdam Sinfonietta, the Basel Symphony Orchestra, the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, the London Symphony Orchestra, the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, the Strings of Zurich, and the Swiss Chamber Soloists.
On 13th December 2009, he performed Richard Strauss’s “Concerto for Oboe and Orchestra” with maestro Valery Gergiev and the LSO at Barbican Hall in London.
He gave master classes at the Branimir Slokar Academy in Ljubljana, Slovenia, from 16th through 21st July 2012.

In the field of music education, he has served on the faculties of the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, the Musikhochschule in Mannheim, the Rotterdam Conservatory and the Royal Academy of Music, and given master classes at the Art Centre in Seoul, the Conservatoire Superieur de Paris, the National Academy in Melbourne, and the Royal Northern College of Music.
