Allbut, Barbara (24th September 1940-Present)

Born in New Jersey, she was a founder of The Angels whose major hit was “My Boyfriend’s Back”. They had previously been known as The Blue Angels and The Starlets.

As a member of The Angels she backed stars including Neil Diamond , Jackie Wilson, Frankie Valli, Frank Sinatra and on the No.1 Lou Christie hit “Lightnin’ Strikes”.

She has revived her songwriting career while the others continue to appear in concert with other early rock and roll performers. She still occasionally performs with The Angels today.
