Armstrong, Amy

Actress and vocalist who studied for her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education and Vocal Performance at the University of North Texas and moved to Pennsylvania, where she has been active as a performer with ensembles such as The Philadelphia Kantorei, The Philadelphia Singers, The Olde Town Carolers and Voices of the Pops.

Her on-stage experiences have not been limited to concerts, however, as she is equally at home in the world of musical theater and opera.  Companies with which she has worked include the Denver Opera Company, Narberth Community Theatre, Opera Colorado, Opera Company of Philadelphia, the Theatre Alliance of Greater Philadelphia and she has twice been a regional finalist for the Metropolitan Opera.

Her resume includes stints as Julie in Carousel, Sarah in Guys and Dolls, Louisa in The Fantasticks, the titular character of Suor Angelica, and the fairy soprano in The Pennsylvania Ballet’s production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
