Belnick, Blanche

Painter and violinist who helped Gloria Lynne create A Very Gentle Sound in 1972 and went on to reflect with Peggy Lee on Mirrors in the mid-’70s.

In 1977, she joined Earth, Wind & Fire for the encompassing All ‘n All and threw a Tone Tantrum with Gene Harris. She was an ingredient of the recipe The Chocolate Jam Co. cooked up for The Spread of the Future, released in the late ’70s, and was part of Frank Sinatra’s heavily populated boxed set, Trilogy, in 1979.

You can hear Ms. Belnick’s violin stylings on a pair of CD re-packagings, Vikki Carr’s Collectables Classics and Live at the Greek Theatre.

Here she is playing the violin on Earth Wind & Fire’s “I’ll Write a Song For You”…
