Coming from the area of Buffalo, New York, Chuck “Big Wheelie” Vicario was born in Niagara Falls and became the founder and lead singer of Big Wheelie & The Hubcaps , which he formed in the early 1970s.
Singing a selection of hits from the 1950s and ’60s he released several popular singles such as “Tribute to Elvis Presley” and “Tribute to Chuck Berry ” with The Hubcaps and they also recorded five albums through the years.
In 1985 he was inducted into the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame.
He fronted The Hubcaps at many outdoor events, ’50s festivals and many of the community functions involving businesses, the church etc.
He died of COVID-19 in April 2020.
