He is a horn player and musical consultant/director who studied at the University of Texas, Tanglewood and the University of Houston.
He has performed with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Seattle Symphony Orchestra , Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra and was a member of the American Brass Quintet for several years from 1965, appearing on several of their recordings.
