Bloom, Bobby (15th January 1946-28th February 1974)

He was born in 1946 in New York.

Working in partnership with John Barry he made several solo recordings as well as singing back-up vocals on songs by the TV cartoon group The Archies.

As a songwriter he co-wrote the hit “Mony, Mony” for Tommy James and had a solo hit with “Montego Bay” which reached No. 8 in the US and No. 3 in the UK in the 1970 charts.

He died on 28th February 1974 in an accidental shooting after suffering from depression.
