Boyle, Jackie Dunleavy

She is a soprano and choral director who has performed as a soloist and choir member with many ensembles and choirs in Philadelphia and New Jersey.

She became a member of New Square Presbyterian Church’s NSPC Quartet in 1997 and four years later she began to direct the Junior Choir.  She has also been a member of The Philadelphia Singers.

She has given performances of Vivaldi’s Gloria, the Ascension Oratorio by J.S. Bach, Handel’s Messiah with the Mainland Choral Society and the Reading Choral Society and Jacques Brel’s Alive and Well and Living in Paris with the Lehigh Valley Gay Men’s Chorus.  Other orchestras she has performed with, under many leading conductors, include the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia, Lansdowne Symphony, the Main Line Symphony, the New Jersey Symphony, the New York Philharmonic and the Philadelphia Orchestra.

In the field of popular music she has shared the stage with artists such as Patti Labelle and Rod Stewart.

In 2001 she took up the position of director of the NSPC Junior Choir, she appeared at the Visions and Visionaries Song Festival in 2003 and she was awarded 2004 Young Artist Competition by the Reading Choral Festival.  Also in 2004 she was awarded a degree from Princeton’s Westminster Choir College.  More recently, in 2009, she was a director for the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra.

Outside of music performance she holds the position of Executive & Development Services Manager at Philadelphia’s Settlement Music School.   Other positions she holds are as a member of the National Association of Pastoral Musicians and the American Guild of Musical Artists.
