Britton, Geoff (1st August 1943-Present)

He is a drummer and percussionist born in Lewisham, S. London, England.

He became a member of the folk-rock band East of Eden and in 1974 joined Paul McCartney & Wings for a year, performing on the Venus and Mars album.  In 1977 he became a member of the group Rough Diamond  when he met the guitarist Jools Cooper at a recording session. They would later form The Rockets.

In 1978 he joined up with Manfred Mann’s Earth Band, also for a year, and appeared on their Angel Station. Other bands he has performed with throughout his career include The Pirates, Chicken Shack, The Wild Angels and The Mike Oldfield Band.

As a member of Wings he appears in the films One Hand Clapping and Wingspan, and he appears as himself in the 1977 documentary Empty Hand . He joined The Keys in the early 1980s and moved to Spain in 1989 when he was a member of The Rockets.

1999 saw him joining up with Black Diamond and he stayed with them for ne next 5 years until 2004.  In 2008 he joined The Brink Band and in 2010 became a member of the band Black Glitter.
