Brown, Paulette (??-8th October 1998)

She was a backing singer who appeared with literally hundreds of artists in the recording studio. She was married to the percussionist Lenny Castro, who she met while working with Boz Scaggs and their children are now also musicians, with their daughter Christina singing and their son Tyler being a drummer.

She sung backing for groups and artists that include Toto for two years, Roy Clark, The Jacksons, Brenda Russell, Jimmy Buffett and many more and appearing on numerous recordings she can be heard on Volcano by Jimmy Buffett , Fahrenheit and Essential Toto by Toto, Triumph and Best Remixes by The Jacksons, Hits!, Middle Man and My Time by Boz Scaggs , Breakout and Live and in the Studio by Jimmy Cliff, Windsong by Randy Crawford, King of the Blues by B.B. King, Be Yourself by Patti LaBelle, You’re Ok I’m Ok by Billy Swan, Keeper of the Flame by Delbert McClinton, Paris Rain by Brenda Russell, Evolution by Oleta Adams, Ozark Mountain Daredevils, the soundtracks of Grease, Rage in Harlem and Coast to Coast and many more.

She passed away from cancer in 1998.
