Bassist for Esther Phillips who performed on her albums, Best of Esther Phillips (1962-1970), Collectables Classics, Country Side of Esther Phillips, and Set Me Free.
When he wasn’t laying down bass lines for Esther, he performed on other jazz albums, such as the Desmond-flavoured Let Me Tell Ya ’bout Desmond: The Music of Paul Desmond and Desmond’s less loquaciously titled Summertime, Louis Prima’s Say It with a Slap, and Frank Sinatra’s 1979 boxed set, Trilogy.
He also appeared on the compilation albums, Jazz Swings Pop and Sentimental Journey: Pop Vocal Classics, Vol. 1-4. He also did a set with the Gil Parris Band.
