Bryant, Brenda

She is a singer also known as Brenda Bryant Corbett who appeared with many acclaimed artists through the course of her career including Duane Allman, Jimmy Buffett, Cissy Houston and from the time she was young she appeared backing for her cousin Aretha Franklin and was heard on many of her early recordings.

Appearing on numerous albums she can be heard singing on This Girl’s In Love With You, Love Songs, Spirit in the Dark and Don’t Fight the Feeling by Aretha Franklin, Death of a Ladies’ Man by Leonard Cohen, Volcano by Jimmy Buffett , Barry Goldberg, Genius & Soul: The 50th Anniversary Collection by Ray Charles, Salt Song by Stanley Turrentine, Brand New Day by Blood Sweat & Tears and The Bues Brothers soundtrack amony many others.

She appeared in the 1980 movie The Blues Brothers as a member of the Soul Food Chorus and in an episode of the TV show Mathnet.

She performs here in “Think” from The Blues Brothers
