Carbonara, Paul

He is a guitarist, composer, producer and songwriter who has worked with several artists including Martina McBride , Eric Carmen and Justin Thorne.

He became a member of the New Wave group Blondie after they regrouped in 1996 and performed, recorded and toured with them as a bass guitarist, including on their No. 1 hit “Maria”.  He left the band in 2010 during the recording sessions for their 9th album.

He has also appeared on recordings by The Flashcubes and Red Radio Flyer, and worked with The Mudlarks, which he describes as a “rock/ranch/swamp/arena” band.

An avid cyclist and track athlete, he regularly takes part in these sports when he is not touring.

As a composer and producer his work can be heard on various TV channels such as Nickolodeon and SBLI and in the films Henry May Long, 5 Card Stud and Pull Out. He was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2006 as a member of Blondie and currently owns his own studio in New York City.
