Chaplin, Blondie (7th July 1951-Present)

He is a singer and bass player born Terence William Chaplin in Durban, South Africa. He was with the band The Flames along with Ricky Fataar who he performed with in the 1960s.

After being recognised internationally he became a member of the Beach Boys from 1972 until 1974.  He sang lead on several of their songs including “Sail on Sailor”.

In the 1980s he toured with The Band playing guitar, replacing some of Richard Manuel’s vocals,  and also appeared on two Jennifer Warnes albums.  Also in the 1980s he worked with Richard Danko and The Byrds on their reunion tour.

From 1997 he played percussion, occasional guitar and sang back-up vocals for The Rolling Stones on tour and in the recording studio.

His first self titled solo album appeared in 1977 and Between Us was released in May 2006.

Alongside being the lead vocalist for the group Skollie, he has appeared on several shows with his band mates from The Beach Boys.
