Chapman, Mary Ongjoco

She is a soprano singer and writer, born in St. Louis, Missouri, who took orchestral conducting, choral studies and received her degree in Vocal Performance at Millikin University in Illinois.

She has performed as an operatic singer and appeared in productions by Mozart and Gilbert and Sullivan among others.  She also been a rehearsal soloist and a member of the St. Louis Symphony Chorus and given many performances led by the conductor Leonard Slatkin.

She has often sung as a soloist in and around St. Louis with ensembles such as the Manchester United Methodist Church choir and orchestra and the St. Louis Metro Singers.

Since 1999 she has been a member of the St. Louis Chamber Chorus and aside from being a soloist for them she gained the position of Assistant Conductor.

Alongside her work with the Chamber Chorus she also works at the Episcopal Church of the Holy Communion in University City as the director of the adult choir and is a private piano and voice teacher who has assisted many of students.

She is also a published author.
