Chidell, Anthony

He is a French horn player born in England who became a member of the Philip Jones Brass Ensemble appearing on several of their albums including Classics for Brass.

In the late 1970s, as a freelance musician, he appeared as part of the London Wind Symphony in their 1978 release Wind Music of Holst and Vaughan Williams and also appeared with the London Symphony Orchestra on the first three soundtracks of the Star Wars series of movies.

In 1999 he appeared on the CD The London Horn Sound which features 32 horn players. In the 2000s he became the second horn in the English National Opera and there is now a Paxman Holstead Chidell mouthpiece system that has been made for the horn.
