Conti, Mirian

She is a pianist born in Argentina who studied music in Buenos Aires and the Juilliard School in New York.

She plays as a soloist and orchestral and chamber musician and has gained recognition for her performance of Spanish music, often playing contemporary scores of composers that include David Diamond, Morton Gould, Peter Bowles and Vincent Persichetti.

Making several international performances, she received an invitation from Morocco’s French Cultural Center to play a homage to Peter Bowles and from the Juan March Foundation in Spain to play in the Beethoven-Liszt Concert Cycle. She has made many published recordings and premiered Lalo Schifrin’s Piano Concerto No. 2 in Los Angeles.

As a teacher she has given masterclasses and lecture-recitals on Spanish music at the Buenos Aires Conservatory and the Manhattan School of Music among others, and a scholarship has been given in her honour from the Juilliard School.
