Dodd, Ricky

He is a saxophonist, flautist and harmonica player who was a member of the group New Formula in the late 1960s.  With them he would release the singles “Do It Again a Little Bit Slower” which was a cover of the American hit which had charted for Jon & Robin and The In Crowd, and “I Want to Go Back There Again” which charted in the Fab 40 list.

He would appear in The Roy Young Band from 1971 and was with them for their 1972 appearance as the backing band on Chuck Berry’s No. 1 chart topper “My Ding-a-Ling “.

In 1973 he performed with the hard rock band Tucky Buzzard on their album Buzzard, which was produced by Bill Wyman of the Rolling Stones.
