Flautist who appeared on Frank Sinatra’s 1979 boxed set, Trilogy, and who premiered Michael Kibbe’s “Concerto for Flute and Band” in 1984.
On 13th December 1985, she performed with the Marchand Ensemble as part of the South Bay Chamber Music Society’s series of concerts, in a program that ranged from Johannes Brahms to 20th-century composer Robert Muczynski. “Music for Harp by Film Composers” was the theme of the concert in which she participated in June 1986 for the American Harp Society, including John Addison’s “Serenade” and Lalo Schifrin’s “Continuum”. On 14th November 1986, she returned to SBCMS with the Marchand Ensemble, this time with mezzo-soprano Candice Burrows, in a concert that highlighted Frenchmen Ernest Chausson, Cesar Franck, and Maurice Ravel.
She was a member of the Mladi Wind Quintet on 16th January 1987 in their SBCMS recital of mostly 20th-century music such as “Six Bagatelles” by Gyorgi Ligeti. In 1988, she appeared on Cindy Paley’s album, Chanukah: A Singing Celebration.
Albums on which she performed in the ’90s include the Michael Kamen-Julia Migenes effort, Smile, Art Garfunkel’s Songs from a Parent to a Child, Insects and Spiders, David Foster’s Christmas Album, and Debbie Friedman’s And You Shall Be A Blessing… In 2002, she appeared on John Lithgow’s Farkle & Friends.
She performed with Southwest Chamber Music in celebration of its twentieth anniversary at Boston Court in Pasadena, California, on 24th January 2007. On 5th October 2008, she re-joined SCM for a concert at The Huntington in San Marino, California. Among the highlights was Carl Friedrich Abel’s “Quartet in G major for Flute and Strings”.
