Ezzo, Steve

He is a guitarist, bandleader, arranger and songwriter who began working professionally from the time he was fourteen years old in Detroit, Michigan.

Deciding to branch out, he moved to Los Angeles, California when he was 21 and aside from working as a session musician and performing a variety of gigs at varies Californian venues, he took the position of lead guitarist for a band in Disneyland.  He also had his own studio where he concentrated on songwriting and recording for a production company.

In 1983 he became a touring member of the group Three Dog Night where he subbed for Mike Alllsup .  He played guitar and sang backing vocals and stayed with them until 1991.  Also during those years he went on tour with Tom Jones.

Other artists he has worked with during the course of his career include Burt Bacharach, The Coasters, The Drifters and Jerry Vale .

After 1991 he decided to stop touring, relocated to Chicago, and concentrated on becoming a bandleader.  He became sought after in this field and he and his orchestra were regularly heard performing at social and corporate events and private functions.

In 1999 he moved to Pebble Beach, California, and there he continues to work as a bandleader, DJ, MC, bassist and guitarist through his company Ezzo Entertainment.  During the 2000s he has been heard at many events including the Monterey Jazz Festival, the Monterey Peninsula College production of The Rocky Horror Show, Tomatofest, numerous private functions and as the featured artist twice weekly at The Lodge in Pebble Beach.

Today he can be seen leading his variety band, as a DJ and performing with the Monterey Bay All Stars or as soloist or member of duos, trios and quartets.
