Feldman, Franklin (1945-2005)

Violinist born in Brooklyn, New York who was named after President Franklin Roosevelt and studied with a prominent violinist,  He later became a member of the Whitehouse Strolling Strings military band who performed at the Whitehouse during the war with Vietnam.

He moved to England and then to The Netherlands with his partner Gordon and decided to apply for an orchestra there.  He was accepted and became a member of the Netherlands Radio Symphony Orchestra and also performed with the World Orchestra for Peace on occasion.

He was diagnosed with cancer while in his fifties and died in Utrecht, The Netherlands when he was 59 years old.
