Franklin, Alphonse

He is a singer born in Chicago, Illinois, who formed The Miracles tribute group Four Stories High when he was 14 which led to him gaining attention as looking and sounding like a young Smokey Robinson.  The group split up in 1984 but he continued to work as a “Smokey Robinson Tribute Artist” who could be heard in and around Chicago in one of its Live Tribute Shows.

He met Smokey Robinson in 2007 and the following year he received an email from The Miracles looking for a lead singer.  This led to him filling in for Mark Scott as a member of The Miracles from June 2008  to December 2008.

He relocated to California where he has appeared in concert and on radio interviews and released the songs “Mama” and “So Wonderful”.

Here he is singing during an interview in Las Vegas…
