She is an alto singer who worked extensively with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus and their late founder Robert Shaw in the position of choral administrator/secretary/administrative assistant as well as vocalist. She has also been a member of the offshoot ensemble put together by Robert Shaw known as the Robert Shaw Chamber Singers .
Recognised for her contribution to music, she has been the recipient of a Lifetime Achievement Award in the Abby Awards staged by the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce’s Arts and Business Council.
