Gassman, Jan

Vocalist who did some session work in the ’70s as well as releasing children’s albums such as 1973’s Sunshine and Snowflakes with Clark Gassman and a 40-children choir.  In 1978, they released the equally sunny Share a Little Sunshine.  Their rendition of “Joy to the World” appears on the 2007 compilation, Noel a Go Go.

In 1971, she sang background vocals on Cass Elliott’s self-titled turn on RCA Records.  The late ’70s are dotted with albums on which Jan appeared, including Here You Come Again by Dolly Parton , Triumvirat’s A la Carte, and Frank Sinatra’s boxed set, Trilogy.

In 2005, The Edge by David Axelrod was released on CD.

Clark Gassman passed away from cancer on 22nd May 2006.  Jan Gassman ran a Bible study in conjunction with the Evangelical Free Church of the Canyons in Santa Clarita, California.
