He is a violist who is an in-demand session musician performing in the realms of country, jazz, rock, pop and classical music.
Working with hundreds of acts during his career his viola performances have accompanied Beegie Adair, Alabama, Alcott Chamber Orchestra, Michael Crawford, Billy Ray Cyrus, David Davidson, Dixie Chicks, Craig Duncan, Crystal Gayle, Vince Gill, Nanci Griffith, Faith Hill, Integrity Quartet, Wynonna Judd, Brenda Lee, Loretta Lynn, Richard Marx, The Mavericks, Ronnie Milsap, Mickey Newbury, the Orpheus Choir, Donny Osmond, Dolly Parton, Charley Pride, Kenny Rogers, The Statler Brothers, Randy Travis, Triumphant Quartet, Carrie Underwood, Andy Williams, Don Williams and Trisha Yearwood to name just a few.
His myriad of recordings is too countless to mention but includes albums such as Everyday I Love You, Pt. 1 by Boyzone, Fresh Horses by Garth Brooks, Far Side of the World by Jimmy Buffett, Everything Waits to be Noticed by Art Garfunkel, Christmas to Remember by Amy Grant, Brand New Dance by Emmylou Harris, Lyve: The Vicious Circle Tour by Lynyrd Skynyrd, Conversations in Silence with the Nashville Chamber Orchestra, Back With a Heart by Olivia Newton John, Face the Promise by Bob Seger, Rising by Bruce pringsteen, Prairie Wind by Neil Young, the soundtrack of Dick and Handel’s Young Messiah. He has also appeared on the 1994 video Amy Grant: Building a House of Love and the 2006 film Neil Young: Heart of Gold.
He has been Principal Violist with Orchestra Nashville and “Rhapsody on Viola” by Conni Ellisor was commissioned by them for him to perform. n He has been a member of the Gateway Chamber Orchestra since 2014.
