He is a bass guitarist and singer who came from a family that were involved in the entertainment industry. He studied at the Dick Grove School of Music and has been active in a music career since the early 1970s.
In 1981 he worked with Rick Springfield on his Working Class Dog Tour and video for the chart hit “Jesse’s Girl” and received a platinum album for “Tour and Video Support”. In 1982 he became a member of the group Three Dog Night as a replacement for Mike Seifrit, remaining with them for a period for two years and appearing on their 1983 album It’s a Jungle. Other acts he has worked with include Kim Carnes and Dave Mason among others.
