He is a drummer and percussionist who has worked with a variety of artists, including The Beach Boys, Harry Belafonte, Doris Day, Eartha Kitt, Peggy Lee, Henry Mancini, and Dean Martin. He has also performed with the Shelly Manne Sextet and The Big Band of Shorty Rogers.
In addition to playing the drums, Frank also plays timbales, the lightweight, high-pitched timpani often used in Latin dance music.
