Guffey, Bill (28 July 1952-12 April 2007)

Keyboardist who was one of the original members of the power-pop group Shooting Star.  He stayed with them for their first couple of albums and then packed up his Hammond B3 organ and eventually went to work for the Internal Revenue Service.

Bill passed away in April 2007 from complications from a liver transplant.  A super-intelligent, classically trained pianist and Mensa member with a penchant for arcane cultural references and gardening, Bill Guffey was also a humanitarian and devoted husband and father who loved animals.
